Smoking will kill you, bacon will kill you, but smoking bacon will cure it!

The end of the world as we know it.

You know it’s kinda depressing right now, when all we hear on the news is doom and gloom. Coronavirus, or Covid 19 as they want to call it for some reason, it’s all over the place, and now even whole countries are going into quarantine. It is a very real and imminent threat to your life, whether you want to admit that fact or not.

What’s the antidote?

Whilst all the scientists and egg heads are looking for a cure, vast hoards of the earth’s population are becoming more and more nervous, tensions are rising, and pulses are racing. Although there is nothing much I can do about the virus, except attempting to follow the CDC’s advisories and use common sense, and plenty of hand washing, there is something I can do about my response to the situation. There is a line in an old U2 song, Rejoice, that goes, “I can’t change the world, but I can change the world in me, if I rejoice.

Rejoicing, can and should be a part of any believers’ arsenal to combat all the negativity that can so easily entangle one. An attitude of gratitude is also one of the blessings that a believer should enjoy and employ to ward off the darkness that can so easily beset us. And what of humor? I am solidly convinced that God Himself is the inventor of humor, (after all, you’re living proof of it) and he loves to see His people happy. If a priest becomes a lawyer, would he be a father-in-law? Did you hear about the Irishman who texted his wife, Hi honey, just out for a quiet drink with the lads, and in comes this guy coughing all over the place, so we’ve been quarantined, see you in 14 days 🙂

Sorry for your loss

I truly am sorry for the loss of families and loved ones that have already died from Coronavirus, and apologize if I come across as flippant. I am even more sorry for those who don’t know Jesus and have no hope. As it says in

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 New International Version.

13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

It would appear that a very significant number of people from all around the globe will die of Coronavirus. How sad it is to think that many of them are scared because they don’t know what the future holds for them. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know who holds my future. That is why I can rejoice, that is why I have an attitude of gratitude, that is why I am not downcast and destroyed, that is why I can laugh in the face of death. Because I have a future and a hope, as it say’s in Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Let’s get the introduction over with

If anyone reading this has not yet been introduced to God, may I suggest you introduce yourself to Him now, while you still can, because when you die, as all men must, He will most certainly introduce Himself to you, no question! But, I don’t believe in God you might say, well, that’s OK, neither did I for 30 years, but that changed the moment I gave God an inch, the moment I drunkenly and stoned mumbled a prayer and gave Him permission (not that He needed it, but because He is a gentleman and will not barge into your life uninvited) to come into my life, you can read more about it here

Just because you can’t see God, don’t make the mistake of thinking He’s not there, you cannot see electricity, but you sure can feel it, you cannot see the wind but you can feel it. There is a saying that goes, “I will believe it when I see it” well, with God’s Kingdom, which is so different from ours, He says you will see it when you believe it.

We have all been lied to, we have all been taught that we came from apes, natural selection, evolution etc. It is all baloney, believing in evolution is like believing that a meteor smashed into a junk yard, and out popped a fully functional Jumbo jet, it just does not make sense. It takes more blind faith to believe in evolution, without any real proof, than it does to believe in God with all His evidence. What came first, the chicken or the egg? ( I ordered a chicken and an egg on Amazon… I will let you know 🙂  )       Show me any species that has evolved into another species? It just does not happen, yes a dog or a cat may evolve but it is still a dog or a cat, there is no evidence that a fish ever turned into a rabbit or whatever. We have all been taught this garbage for a reason. Satan does not want you to know the truth, because he knows that the truth will set you free.

Then there is Jesus Himself. Did you know that we have more extra biblical evidence for the existence of Jesus than we do for the existence of Napoleon, yet no doubts that Napoleon lived. Why would that be? In short, don’t laugh, but it is the devil. That old serpent has been lying to us all through history, in fact the bible says he is the father of lies. He hates God and he hates you, and he is working behind the scenes, deceiving the whole world and tricking us into believing he’s not real, because he knows that if he shows himself as real then mankind would be more open to the possibility that God is real too, and once your eyes are open, who are you going to choose, God who loves you, or the devil who hates you?

It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment!

Death, which will come to every man is not the end, but rather a gateway into eternity, the choices we make now will determine where we end up. About a month before he died, my uncle had his back covered in lard. After that, he went down hill fast 🙂

All joking aside, Heaven and hell are very real, we can see any number of testimonies, YouTube videos, etc, where people have gone to Heaven or hell

So, once again, just because we can’t see something with our eyes, it does not mean that it doesn’t exist. I need to be very direct with you right now, and it may anger some of you, but in light of the gravity of the subject, I must insist that, NO, all paths DO NOT lead to Heaven as some claim, Krishna did not die for you, Buddha, did not die for you, Mohammad, did not die for you, in fact none of those persons ever claimed to have died for you, and they are still in their graves.

Jesus is the only person that died for our sins, He was crucified, and buried, and on the third day He rose again. He is the ONLY way to heaven, He is the only one that ever said.

John 14:6 tells us that Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO ONE comes to the Father except through me.

John 16:33

Jesus said, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. And we could add, Coronavirus, cancer, pestilence, plague etc, for those who are in Christ Jesus. Even if believers die a physical death, how blessed are we not to rot in hell forever. That is how we can rejoice, that is how we can sing in the face of death, that is how we can sleep soundly at night and the night terrors do not plague us. God is able to make sure the virus does not come near us if He wishes, either way, He is able to keep us safe in this world or bring us home to Him. Now that is the hope of our faith, as it says in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

How does Moses make his tea? Hebrews it. 🙂

Want to be sure?

Find a quiet place, relax and quiet yourself and meditate on this payer.

Until next time

God bless.

  1. I know with the outbreak of some of these diseases all over the world, so many people will have more reason to doubt the existence of the supreme God but I must say, at this point we all have to hold on to God to always find a solution for us. These are trying times and so we need to hold on to God and meditate on his words daily to boost our faith.

    1. Thanks Benson, I agree, now more than ever is the time to be pressing into God for His guidance and protection.

  2. hello, it is a great and nice feeling to know that someone will create a great website like this and also create a write up on an article like this. in a time like this where covid 19 has set everyone restless, it is good to get this kind of inspiration from the word of God. thank you

  3. Thank you for posting encouragement to our readers with regards to the CORONAVIRUSES even sensationalized by the media that is giving fear to all peoples around the world.

I believe there were diseases that spread around the world that are just like the COVID19, or even more infectious. But people were not so worried about it. SARS has been existent and we have not worried so much about it, we overcome it. The fact is COVID19 is a family of SARS and it is enough to be careful.

To me, since we know the fact that COVID19 can be controlled by covering the mouth when we cough and when we sneeze, if possible wear masks, keep distance and hold not any person because you may infect them. That’s all.

Now, when it comes to all the precautions, remedies being done by people, it’s also a fact that we have limitations because we cannot see the virus and we are not sure if they are just around us. We only don’t know if coronaviruses are thriving in persons with symptoms or they are just lurking and ready to attack when our health defenses are weak. The more we worry about it, the more we want to run from the virus we do not see, the more we are becoming weak.

So it’s enough to have these facts about the coronavirus and stay positive in life. And lastly, it is only God who is immensely powerful who can remove in his own way any infectious diseases from any place at any time in his own time.

    1. Thank you Abagatan, Unfortunately you are poorly informed about the Coronavirus, it is far more dangerous than many people believe. Here a a few facts that you may not know.

1 The virus can last up to 2 weeks on a hard untreated surface

2 some infected people have carried the virus up to 39 days before showing any signs

3 The virus can travel in the air from someone coughing up to 15 feet

4 Also if some coughs in a room and puts it in the air, it can stay airborn for 30 minutes, that means, if some coughs in a room at 10 o’clock and you walk in at 10:25 you could get it !

Here is a very goods news show where you can find out more about the virus and much more.

  4. Great post! I believe this article was meant for me to read lol. At one point my eyes filed up with water as the words of wisdom from the good Lord touched my heart. And then the good laughs in between lol I think my wife must believe theres something wrong with her man haha.. The kids lookin at me like I have two heads lol

Good read, much wisdom and great advice about being negative. It’s true, God wants us to rejoice in his glory. Just like we as humans can choose to be negative, we could also choose to be positive and share in his blessings for us.

“Blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it”.

    Good read! Thanks!

    1. Hi Dave, thanks for the feedback, I am so glad that you felt the Lords prompting, now more than ever is the time to press in with Him and find peace 🙂
God bless you and keep you.

  5. Many people worship God and quote scripture and pray, but when a crisis comes up they get swept along with the panic and the anxiety of trying to do this and that. It is at that time that they need to take their gaze inward, to remember Jesus saying to the storm ‘Peace. be still”. The world will have changes and what looks like a catastrophe is actually a realignment of our values and our outlook. God is, and all is well. Thank you for this article.

    1. Indeed, God IS and all is well, for those who are in Christ Jesus.

      Thanks JJ

Numbers 6:24-26 New King James Version (NKJV)

      24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
      And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,
      And give you peace.”

  6. This is a good reminder for all of us, especially for people who were once strong in faith but after some time, were overwhelmed by worldly things. The events that we are now witnessing reminds us that there’s God above us who is waiting for us. He’s waiting for us to come back to him and repent from all of our sins.

With regard to this Coronavirus scare, I’d like to ask if worshiping God in churches is still okay? Or, do we have to do the thing inside home like if there’s a term like “work from home”, what about having a term like “worship from home”?

    1. Thanks Gomer, Good words, i hope you follow up on them and ask His forgivness 🙂

As for church, i am not sure about all towns, but i know in my small town we are still meeting, but i am not sure how long that will last, also if i were in a large/mega church i do not think i would go. But each to his own, we live and die under His watchful eye.

Psalm 32:8 – I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
